About Me

Hey! So I didn't know what to blog about, and well, blogging about the stories we've read is pretty boring. So I thought I would blog about myself for this one! I'm 17 years old, and I'm a senior at Prince George High School. I'm doing the high schoool-college program, so I take all my classes here at Bland. This way, I will get two years of schooling done at the same time! I am beyond excited to graduate high school in June, even though I'll be attending Richard Bland for another year. After that, I plan to transfer to a University, however, I haven't completely decided where, or what I want to major in. I am really happy with my decision to do the high school-college program this year. Most people think that I am missing out on my senior year, but I see all my friends outside of school and I can still participate in all senior activities. I have been taking dance my whole entire life, and I love it. Since I'm graduating in June, this will be my last year dancing. I don't want it to end! The feeling of being on stage doing something you love is just too hard to describe. I'm really happy with the way my life is going right now! I hope everyone is enjoying their second semester!

Hills Like White Elephants

I think this story was interesting. Hemingway never said in the story what the operation was, which made the reader try to figure it out for themselves. The couple is at a train station, and they do not know which way they are going to go. This kind of ties in with the fact that don't know whether or not they can go through with the operation. The American is pretty selfish because he seems like he would leave the girl if she doesn't have the operation.
